Meritorious Service Awards
One of the features inaugurated in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the Frank H. Woods Telephone Pioneer Association is the presentation of an award for Meritorious Service to those members deserving of this honor for their work with the Pioneers over the years.
The Past Presidents will recommend candidates from the nominations received, except for nominees who are living Past Presidents. Nominations of Past Presidents will be voted on by the current Executive Board.
Nominations may be made by any Pioneer, and must be accompanied by valid evidence qualifying the nominee for the award.
No individual shall qualify for the award with less than 15 years of continuous membership in the Pioneer Association, unless the individual is retired from active employment or deceased.
Nomination of a Past President will not be accepted untill after three years from the date their term of office expired.
Nominations of retired or deceased members with less than 15 years as active Pioneers will not be accepted until one year after their retirement or death.
Nominations for the Meritorious Service Award shall be made only in recognition of outstanding service and accomplishments to the Frank H. Woods Telephone Pioneer Association.
Regular, Life, or Auxiliary members are eligible for nomination.
The maximum number of awards that may be given is three (3). The awards will be presented at the Spring Reunion Meeting. A list of the past recipients can be found here.
